King Dhatusena one 

King Dhatusena is the father of King Moggallana. Dhatusena has ruled the area of Anuradhapura. He build some reservoirs  and viharas in the sri lanka. King Dhatusena had two sons Kassapa and Moggallana and one daughter.He bulid 18 reservoirs in the country. So another bulid to the " Kala Wewa". 

King Dhatusena managed to save Sri Lanka from foreign invasions. Meanwhile, liberating Sri Lanka from Tamil invasions.He was a great patron of the Bhikkus and had been doing good deeds.He had made the Ambattala Viharaya and offered it to the Bhikkus.King Dhatusena ruled Sri Lanka's unique land of Anuradhapura for 455 to 473 years. He was the first of the Moriyan dynasty of Sri Lanka. The Giant Canal is a very special canal.
